Iloilo Digital Tourism

This guide to Iloilo is part of the Digital Tourism project of new media startup InnoPub Media and the country's telecommunications leader Smart Communications, Inc.

Digital Tourism harnesses new technology to enhance the tourism experience by giving visitors timely and accurate information on the spot. The project involves the production of ebooks and apps to serve as tourism guides for mobile devices like tablets and phones and the putting up of special interactive markers that, when scanned with a gadget, trigger the download of more information about a site or structure.

The project was launched at the Iloilo City Hall on March 21, 2013. It is a collaboration among the City and Provincial Governments of Iloilo, Smart Communications, Inc., InnoPub Media, and Iloilo private sector partners. Cebu Pacific is also a sponsor of this guide.
